THE CINELLI DREAM TEAM REALIZES YOUR DREAM

On 13th and 14th March, during the GRAN FONDO DEL CONERO CINELLI, the company CINELLI will be at the starting line with a CINELLI DREAM TEAM. Five Olympic or World champions from different sports disciplines, united by a huge passion for cycling, will compete side by side on the famous slopes of the most important long-distance cycling of the middle-south Adriatic.

The name of the other five athletes will be revealed each month starting from 4th December 2009 on the website www.granfondodelconero.it , where you can find the champion personal file.

Fame champions, great winners in their disciplines, will participate in the GRAN FONDO DEL CONERO CINELLI with the CINELLI bicycles and clothing.

THE MEMBERS OF THE CINELLI C5 DREAM TEAM ON 13TH AND 14TH MARCH IN ANCONA WILL BE:

Loris Stecca (Santarcangelo di Romagna, 30th March 1960) world champion of super bantamweight boxing from 22nd February 1984 to 26th May 1984. After a good amateur career ended with the title of Italian featherweight boxing, he made his debut among the professionals in 1980. A year later became national champion of the featherweight boxing and in 1983 took the European title. In 1984 he won the title of world champion of WBA super bantamweight boxing , but then he is beaten twice by Victor Callejas, the second one in 1985 and he decided to retire. On 17th December 1988 in Sassari he beat Alvarez with technical K.O. and he said he was ready for the newborn world WBO of the super bantamweight boxing against Gervacio. On 31st January 1989 he was hit by a car on the pedestrian crossing: he got several fractures and a shattered knee definitely ended his career.

Vincenzo Maenza (Imola, 2nd May 1962) greek-roman fight specialist, he began racing at age of thirteen and at sixteen was already part of the National team. He took part in four Olympic Games editions, winning two gold medals (Los Angeles 1984 and Seoul 1988) and a silver medal in Barcelona in 1992. Nicknamed "Tom Thumb" because he was short, he also won two silver medals in the world championships (in Colorado Springs in 1980 and Clermont-Ferrand in 1989) and graduated as European champion in 1987 in Tampere (in the 48 kg category). He won six Italian titles in the 48kg category and seven in the one of 52kg. He also triumphed at the Mediterranean Games of 1987 in Syria (bronze medal in 1991 in Athens) and at the Military World Games. In 1994, after being seriously injured at his knee with a ligament damage, he decided to end his career.

ClaudioDesolati (Genk, 24 gennaio 1955) Cresciuto calcisticamente nelle giovanili del Genoa, passa poi alla Fiorentina, vincendo per due volte il Torneo di Viareggio.
A 17 anni ha esordito in Serie A con la maglia della Fiorentina, disputando 10 campionati (152 presenze in campionato con 43 reti). Nel 1974 ha vinto la Coppa Italia. Nel corso della sua carriera ha vestito la maglia azzurra di tutte le giovanili e della Nazionale militare.
La sua carriera è stata frenata da tre gravissimi infortuni.[senza fonte] È uno dei più prolifici cannonieri nella storia della Fiorentina. La sua migliore stagione nelle file della formazione viola è stato il 1975-1976, con 10 marcature in 21 incontri disputati.
Nell'estate 1981 viene ceduto alla Pistoiese appena retrocessa in Serie B, e nelle file della formazione toscana riesce a disputare quasi tutti gli incontri in calendario contribuendo con 9 realizzazioni alla salvezza della squadra coinvolta nella lotta per non retrocedere. Passa poi nelle file del Foggia, con il quale retrocede in Serie C1. Chiude la carriera nel 1987 in serie D nelle file dell'Imperia
Ritiratosi dall'attività agonistica, dal 1989 dirige la Scuola Calcio Desolati a Firenze.

Simona Galassi (Forlì, 27 giugno 1972) Dopo essersi laureata in scienze motorie, con tesi sul pugilato, si è dedicata al kickboxing (dopo un periodo nella pallavolo), e poi esclusivamente alla boxe dal 2001. Tra i dilettanti ha disputato 87 match (86 vittorie, 1 sconfitta) conquistando il titolo mondiale dei pesi mosca tre volte: a Scranton 2001, in Pennsylvania (negli Stati Uniti), ad Antalya 2002 (Turchia) e a Podolsk 2005 (Russia), oltre a tre titoli europei (2003, 2004 e 2005). Passata al professionismo l'8 ottobre 2006, ha disputato 8 incontri (6 vittorie, 1 pareggio, 1 no-contest). L'11 maggio 2007 ha conquistato il titolo europeo dei pesi mosca contro la tedesca Bettina Volker. Il 29 marzo 2008 ha conquistato al Palasport "Villa Romiti" di Forlì il titolo mondiale dei pesi mosca Wbc contro l'italiana Stefania Bianchini.
